Some friends from back home have been gettin' brutal for a while now. I got their demo tape in the mail the other day. They are really great guys, and this package is totally worth the 6 bucks. They're killer live, and although I haven't seen them with their new addition of Nick Sibilia on bass switching up the load and letting Clete Chatterton to do what he does best on the guitar. They've played with the likes of Brutal Truth, the Holy Moutain, Black Tusk, and Kylesa to name a few, and hey, they hail from just across the bay from the home of death metal, so you know they're legit.

Hey! I watch a lot of tv. It's no secret that I love Gossip Girl, Endurance, and any episode of Degrassi that involves Drake being in a wheel chair.  A few months back my friend Shawn came to visit.  He took up his place on the couch and started Nexflxing all over the place. He unforcnetly introduced me to my a new out of control teen drama from across the pound obsession.

It fallows a group of rowdy teens attending school after high school, sort of like a junior college. They are all pretty awful, with even worse parents. It's pretty damn hard to stop watching I'm afrade to say.

Seasons 1-3 are streaming on Netflix and you can order 4 or download it here. Oh yeah and MTV is trying their hand at making a state side version real soon.

No Idea Records and Sweetwater Organic Rosters have teamed up and created a coffee blend inspired by the punk/hardcore scene that NIR is such an interracial part of. The back of the bag says "A medium-bodied cup with an assertive butterscotch aroma. A sweet, chocolaty intro thats tapers into a tart finish." They wrote that alot better than I could.

Scion, that weird car company that is always putting on pretty awesome free garage rock shows in NYC has released a few 7"s and a Spits 10"/book has put free downloadable tracks on their website, I totally recommend downloading the NOBUNNY/ (hey I know the guy who plays guitar for that band!) Jacuzzi  Boys split, oh and the Kid Congo (dude from the cramps/the gun club) track thats on that site ain't half bad either.

TERROR VISION

So, I saw this movie once or twice when I was a kid and have forever been wondering what the name of it is. Now, thanks to a random Netfilx suggestion I have found and watched it again. It's pretty much an amazing 80's movies where a swinger dad gets a new satellite dish and a mutated house pet called a hungry beast shows up from accross the galaxy and eats the parents, crazy vet grampa, swinger friends and I think a cop. It's up to the war obsessed and neglected kid brother Sherman and his punk sister (and awesome metal boyfriend named OD) to send the monster back where it came from. Oh, and there is a busty bootleg Elvira chick in the mix too.

So check it out if your bored or high before we have to destroy all our tvs to prevent alien invasion.

Christmas in Queens...err, I mean Bushwick

Apparently in Holand they have a fuck up Santa called Christmas man, they also take turns rolling dice for seven minutes all the while stealing each others presents all the while sucking down booze, I'm kinda into it.

I learned these tidbits last night at a Danish Christmas party in my building. I probably learned more but I got pretty drunk...
